I work in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon — whichever you prefer. If you don't have one yet, I'll set it up for you.

Can you clean up months of messy books?

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No long-term contracts. Cancel with 30 days' notice and I'll hand off clean books in whatever format you need.

How often can you run payroll?

Whatever cadence suits your team — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. I'll set up a recurring schedule, process each pay run on time, and send you a summary to approve before payments go out.

What's included in a pay run?

Accepted Answer

Calculating gross-to-net pay, applying tax and deductions, processing leave, generating payslips, lodging Single Touch Payroll (STP) with the ATO, and preparing the bank file or direct payments to your team.

Do you handle Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting?

Yes. Every pay run is reported to the ATO via STP Phase 2 the same day it's processed. End-of-year finalisation is included, so your employees get their income statements in myGov on time.

How is superannuation managed?

I calculate super on every pay run at the current SG rate, track contributions per employee, and lodge and pay quarterly via a clearing house — well before the ATO deadline. From 1 July 2026 I'll lodge super each pay run as per the new payday super legislation.

What about PAYG withholding?

PAYG is calculated automatically on each pay run and tracked against your activity statement. I prepare and lodge your IAS or BAS so the right amount is withheld and paid to the ATO every period.

Can you make sure we're paying under the right award?

Yes. I'll help identify the correct Modern Award or agreement for each role, set up base rates, allowances, penalty rates, and overtime, and review them when Fair Work updates the minimums each July.

How are leave balances and entitlements tracked?

Annual leave, personal/carer's leave, and long service leave accrue automatically each pay run. Balances appear on every payslip and I'll flag anything unusual — like negative balances or unused leave liability.

What happens when I onboard or offboard an employee?

I handle TFN declarations, super choice, and award setup for new starters, and prepare final pays — including unused leave, notice, and ETPs where applicable — plus STP finalisation when someone leaves.
